Q. Let's Start the interview now. Please tell me a little bit about yourself.
- Hi. My name is Kicha. You can call me Chad. I'm 30 years old but I'm 28 years old as well. because of international age. Actually I like International age. it makes me feel younger. and I live in Cheongju city in Korea. I'm currently taking a courses of master's degree at ~ university majoring in Material Engineering. I am doing research on mineral refining and recycling. it's just super exciting for me. btw I need an opic grade to graduate. That's why I'm here.
제가 가볍게 작성하긴 했지만 사실 자기소개 같은 경우에는 warm-up 이기 때문에 스트레스 받으면서 하시지 않아도 됩니다. 긴장 풀 겸 나오는 대로 말씀하셔도 큰 문제 없다고 합니다.
예전에 본 거지만 오픽노잼에서는 자기소개 때 본인의 신체 부위를 설명했는데도 AL 등급이 나올 정도였다고 합니다.
몇가지 거주에 관한 기출문제를 가져왔습니다.
Q. I would like to know where you live. Describe your house in detail. What does it look like? How many rooms do you have?
당신이 사는 곳에 대해 알고 싶습니다. 당신의 집에 대해 자세히 설명해주세요. 당신의 집은 어떻게 생겼나요? 방은 몇 개 있나요?
Q. I would like to know where you live. Which is your favorite room at home? What does it look like? What do you mostly do there?
당신이 사는 곳에 대해 알고 싶습니다. 집에서 가장 좋아하는 방은 어디인가요? 그 방은 어떻게 생겼나요? 당신은 보통 그 방에서 무엇을 하나요?
Q. Please tell me about your living room. What things are in your living room? Name the things you see in your living room.
당신의 거실에 대해서 말해주세요. 거실에는 무엇이 있나요? 당신의 거실에서 볼 수 있는 것들에 대해 말해주세요.
Q. Tell me about the house or apartment you lived in when you were a child. How was it different from the one you live in now? What are the similarities and differences?
당신이 어릴 적 살던 집이나 아파트에 대해 말해주세요. 당신이 지금 살고 있는 집과 어떻게 다른가요? 공통점과 차이점에 대해 말해주세요.
Q. Tell me about a change you made to your home. What was the change and why did you make that change? How did your home look afterwards? Give me all the details.
당신의 집에 준 변화에 대해 말해주세요. 어떤 변화였나요? 왜 그런 변화를 만들었나요? 변화 후에 집은 어떤 모습이었나요? 자세히 말해주세요.
Q. Talk about the problems people have when they rent a house or an apartment. Why do those problems occur and how do people solve those problems?
사람들이 집이나 아파트를 구할 때 겪는 문제점에 대해 말해주세요. 그러한 문제점은 왜 일어나며, 사람들은 그 문제점들을 어떻게 해결하나요?
Q. What are the causes of the housing shortage in your community? Tell me some issues that people talk about related to the housing shortage.
당신의 지역사회에서 주택난이 일어나는 원인은 무엇인가요? 주택난과 관련하여 사람들이 말하는 이슈들에 대해 설명해보세요.
Q. Now, tell me about the problems that happen at your home. What are those problems? Why do they occur? How do people deal with those problems? How do you personally deal with those problems?
당신의 집에서 발생한 문제상황에 대해 말해주세요. 어떤 문제들이었나요? 그 문제들은 왜 일어났나요? 사람들은 그러한 문제상황들을 어떻게 해결하나요? 당신은 어떻게 개인적으로 그 문제들을 해결했나요?
사실 저는 스크립트 전부를 만들어서 말할 자신이 없습니다. 고로 답변에 대한 키워드를 설정한 다음에 살 붙일 수 있는 표현들을 만들어 보겠습니다.
마지막 질문에 대한 답을 만들어 보겠습니다.
Q. Now, tell me about the problems that happen at your home. What are those problems? Why do they occur? How do people deal with those problems? How do you personally deal with those problems?
이런식으로 질문이 온다면 저는 도입부와 본문, 마무리 순으로 간단하게 작성을 합니다.
도입부 - a frustrating experience last spring
본문 - I was working from home / My internet suddenly stopped working / missed a meeting / Had to go to a cafe to work.
마무리 - check internet connection before working
일단 영어로 작성하기 어려우시면 도입부/본문/마무리 형태로 한글로 작성해보세요. 큰 도움이 됩니다.
이걸 합쳐서 작성을 하면
도입부 - I remember a frustrating experience in my home at last spring
본문 - I was working from home because of the pandemic. So, I really needed the internet to send files and attend Zoom meetings. But, my internet at home suddenly stopped working. I tried everything to fix it, but nothing worked. It was the worst timing. I was so worried about my work. even missed a meeting! I called the internet company, but nobody could come until the next morning. So, I had to go to a cafe to work.
마무리 - After that, I always check internet connection before working.
제가 가지고 있는 템플릿에서 최소로 바꿔서 작성을 해보았고, pandemic 상황을 넣었기 때문에 누구나 쉽게 적용할 수 있을 것이라 생각됩니다. 그리고 질문에 따라 현재시제, 과거시제를 확실하게 구분시켜 주시고 말씀하실 때 Fillers(You know, What am I tryna say?, you know what i mean 등) 다양하게 사용하면서 제스쳐까지 하시면 좀 더 자연스러워 보일 수 있습니다.
이번 포스팅에는 저번 시간에 짰던 전략을 실제로 적용시켜 보았는데 제가 설명해드린 전략을 이해하셨으면 하는 바람입니다.
다음시간에는 표현이나 상황에 맞는 단어들에 대해서 공부를 하고 소개를 해드리려고 합니다.
